A Weekend in Manzanita

IMG_3132IMG_3151IMG_3115IMG_3152

We spent last weekend exploring Manzanita, and we’re in love… it’s a charming seaside town on the Oregon Coast, complete with organic markets and the loveliest houses tucked into the trees, overlooking the water.

We stayed at this beautiful airbnb  and can’t wait to go back again soon, it’s designed gorgeously, had everything we needed and was a short walk from the beach. The owner is offering 20% off all March and April bookings, here’s how to score this sweet offer.

*when checking out via airbnb mention that you follow both @lindsaymeyerharley & @laddsfountain on IG (and go follow!) in the ‘contact host’ section, that’s it!

We spent hours walking the beach, collecting driftwood and making teepees with the kids. The fog rolled in while we sipped warm coffee from the cafes in town, dogs ran and played up and down the shore, and our kids were covered in sand, the perfect weekend.

The Beach People {a giveaway}

IMG_2454

I love the sea. The salty air, the soundtrack the crashing waves provide and the wide open expanse I feel when near the ocean. It provides so much and we feel so small when standing seaside.

Living in Portland, we’re a few hours from the sea, much more than I’d like to be honest, but we’re happy to be close enough to go for a day trip, or if we’re lucky a weekend away. We recently grabbed the kids, our towels and headed to the coast for the day, yes it was chilly and we all wore hats, coats and rain boots as we played in the sand, but it was glorious. The wind whipping our hair and the water getting oh so close as we ran from the waves crashing and the cold sea spray.

I recently discovered The Beach People, an Australian company producing gorgeous round towels in the most gorgeous designs I’ve seen in a long time. They sent me 2 roundies to test out at the shore with my family. Absorbant like a towel, but gorgeous like a picnic blanket, we’ll be using our roundies for the beach, the park and the pool this Spring and Summer for sure.

The generous folks at The Beach People and I also created a fun giveaway on Pinterest if you’d like to take a look and enter. All you’ve gotta do is follow us both, repin any image from our Endless Summer board and comment under the photo of your favorite roundie, 2 winners will take home a roundie + a beautiful leather strap to carry it down to the water with. Giveaway ends 2/22. Good Luck!
